We treat a wide and varied range of the animal kingdom with some of our vets having special interests in a particular species or medical speciality.

EQUINE – We cover the full range of equine work from diagnosis and treatment of routine conditions to full soundness examination.

FARM -
Dalblair veterinary surgery covers a wide area of farm calls and covers all the routine agricultural species and conditions.



SMALL ANIMAL –
We attend to all species of small animals and have routine consulting by appointment every weekday morning, afternoon and evening as well as a Saturday morning surgery.

Outwith normal business hours we provide a twenty four hour emergency service to cater for the needs of you and your pet.

COMPLEMENTARY AND SPECIAL INTEREST – Within the practice some of the vets have their own areas of interest and expertise.

  • Acupuncture and Homeopathy - Ann Hutchison, one of the partners is trained on both homeopathy and acupuncture. She has completed the training for membership of the Faculty of Homeopathy as well as the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society Certification course. She also has a licence for human acupuncture and is a member of The British Acupuncture Society and The British Medical Acupuncture Society. If you would like your pet to be treated with complementary medicine just ask for an appointment.
 
Opthalmology at Dalblair Vets
  • Opthalmology – Stuart Jefferson, who is one of the partners has a particular interest in the examination and treatment of eye conditions and is happy to look at the more specialised needs of your pets eyes.
  • Radiography and Ultrasound. We have a visiting veterinary surgeon Sue Spence who is a specialist in radiographic interpretation and ultrasound investigation, holding her Certificate in Veterinary radiology. Sue comes fortnightly to do ultrasound examination of our more complicated cases which we feel will benefit from her expertise. This saves our patients having to travel long distances for this service.

DOG GROOMING SERVICES –
Within the premises of the surgery Fiona Rae has her own dog grooming business. Fiona attends to all your pets grooming needs and you can make an appointment with her directly on 01292 281334.
